Creating your first sync connection

How to set up your first calendar sync connection in 2calendars.

What is a connection?

A connection tells 2calendars which calendars to sync and how. It links a source calendar to a destination calendar and defines what mirrored events should look like.

Creating a connection

  1. Make sure you have at least two Google accounts connected to 2calendars.
  2. From your dashboard, click Create Connection.
  3. Select the source calendar — the calendar whose events you want to mirror.
  4. Select the destination calendar — the calendar where mirrored blocks will appear.
  5. Choose your sync direction: one-way or two-way.
  6. Configure how mirrored events should appear. The default is a private “Busy” block with no details.
  7. Click Create to activate the connection.

Events from your source calendar will begin appearing on your destination calendar within seconds.

Choosing your privacy settings

During connection setup, you can choose how mirrored events appear on the destination calendar:

You can change this setting at any time after creating the connection.

What happens next?

Once the connection is active, 2calendars monitors both calendars for changes. New events, updates, and cancellations are mirrored automatically. You can check the connection’s status on your dashboard to confirm events are syncing.

If something is not working as expected, check the health monitoring section of your dashboard for details.
