Using custom event titles for mirrored events

How to set custom titles on mirrored events instead of the default Busy label.

What are custom event titles?

Instead of the default “Busy” label, you can configure a connection to show a custom title on mirrored events. This gives people viewing the destination calendar a bit more context without revealing the full event details.

Setting a custom title

  1. Go to your dashboard and open the connection you want to configure.
  2. Find the mirrored event appearance setting.
  3. Select Custom title.
  4. Enter the title you want mirrored events to display, such as “Personal,” “Client meeting,” or “Family Block.”
  5. Save the connection.

All future mirrored events from this connection will use your custom title.

Use cases

Custom titles are useful when a generic “Busy” is not enough context but full details would share too much:

What is and is not shared

With a custom title, only the title you define and the time block are shown on the destination calendar. The original event’s description, location, attendees, and other details remain private.

Changing or removing a custom title

You can update the custom title or switch back to “Busy” blocks at any time from your connection settings. Changes apply to future mirrored events only — previously created events keep their existing title.
