What is 2calendars and how does it work?

An overview of 2calendars and how it keeps your Google Calendars in sync.

What is 2calendars?

2calendars is a privacy-first calendar synchronization service. It mirrors events between your Google Calendar accounts automatically and in real time, so your availability is always accurate across every calendar you use.

How it works

When you create an event on one calendar, 2calendars detects the change within seconds and creates a corresponding block on your other calendar. By default, mirrored events appear as “Busy” — no title, no description, no attendees, no location. Just a block of time.

This means your work calendar knows you are unavailable during a personal appointment, and your personal calendar knows you are in a meeting — without revealing any details.

Key concepts

Who is it for?

2calendars is built for anyone who manages separate calendars for different parts of their life:

Getting started

To start syncing, you need at least two Google Calendar accounts. Connect them to 2calendars, create a sync connection, and your availability stays accurate from that point forward.

See our step-by-step guides for connecting accounts and creating your first connection.
