My events are not syncing
A checklist of common causes when calendar events stop syncing.
If your events have stopped syncing — or never started — work through the checks below in order. Most issues are resolved within the first three steps.
Check your connection status
Open the 2calendars dashboard and look at your sync connections. Each connection shows a health indicator. If it shows an error or warning, click into it for details.
Verify Google account authorization
2calendars needs active OAuth permission to read and write calendar events. Authorization can be revoked if:
- You manually removed 2calendars from your Google account permissions
- Your Google Workspace admin disabled third-party app access
- Your Google password was changed or your account was recovered
To check, go to your Google account’s Security > Third-party apps with account access page. If 2calendars is not listed, you will need to reconnect the account from the 2calendars dashboard.
Confirm your calendar selection
Make sure the correct source and destination calendars are selected in your connection settings. If you recently created a new calendar in Google, it will not be selected automatically.
Check your sync rules
If you have sync rules configured (such as [nosync] tags), verify they are not unintentionally filtering out the events you expect to see. Temporarily disabling rules can help isolate the issue.
Review health notifications
If you have health monitoring enabled, check your email for any failure notifications from 2calendars. These messages include details about what went wrong and when.
Still not working?
If none of the above resolves your issue, contact us at [email protected] with the following details:
- Which Google accounts are involved
- The name of the affected sync connection
- When syncing last worked correctly
- Any error messages you see on the dashboard
